Mario Cervera urges the municipal government to accelerate the maintenance work on the beaches of Los Alcázares (02/05/2018)

Mario Cervera, spokesman for the PSOE Los Alcázares, said that "we must recover the path of work to break the seasonality in our town .There is no longer tourist planning."

The municipal government of the Popular Party of the City of Los Alcázares confirmed during a question made by the PSOE in the plenary held in April that the maintenance, adaptation and settlement of the beaches of the municipality will not begin until mid-June.

As explained by the socialist spokesman in the town, Mario Cervera, "a tourist town like Los Alcázares can not afford to fix its beaches only three months a year if the aim is to break the seasonality." It seems that the government municipal PP does not work to address seasonality but to ensure the visit of tourists and visitors two months a year, and that is a very serious error.

"The piles of sand will be extended at the end of May or the beginning of June" according to the Councilor for Tourism, Maite Olmos, at the last plenary session.

In this regard, Mario Cervera said that "while other municipalities such as San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar have been fixing and shaping their beaches for months, the municipal government of Los Alcázares allows a sad image of abandonment of our beaches even during the last Easter and the recent "may bridge" knowing that many tourists have visited our town. "

He insisted "I will ask in writing the Mayor and the Councilor for Tourism and Beaches to carry out cleaning and maintenance work, hiring staff so that our beaches are in perfect condition as soon as possible."
