The Murcian chef will announce this Sunday at 9:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento of Los Alcázares the XLVII International Week of the Garden and the Sea, which will take place from August 14 to 24.

Pablo González was born in Murcia in 1971. He graduated in Teaching in Physical Education.

Since 1994 he has worked in the best restaurants in Spain, Cocinandos in León, Casa Marcelo in Santiago de Compostela, El Bulli Gerona, Akelarre San Sebastián, Flanigan Palma de Mallorca, The Four Seasons Madrid, Arzak San Sebastián, until returning to Murcia and work in the Palace of Silk, Monteagudo, La Gran Taberna, Hotel NH.

In 2003 he started a new project as co-owner and chef of Cabaña Buenavista, which in November 2009 obtained a star from the Michelin Guide, in 2012 a Sol from the Repsol guide, in 2013 he received the second and in 2015 the third Sol. 2017 receives the second Michelin star.

Throughout these years he has received several awards: Mercurio Award from the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia (2009), Finalist Chef Millesimé (2010), Palomas del Turismo Award from Murcia (2012), "Best of the Truth" Award ( 2013), in 2015 he was awarded the Golden Castillete of the Cante de las Minas Festival, Best Creative Restaurant 2016 and 2017 in the Gastronomy Awards of the Murcia Region.

He has represented Spain in 2004 at the Food Fair in Miami and Murcia at the Feria de Madrid Fusión in 2012, 2013,2016, 2017 and at San Sebastián Gastronomika 2013 and 2017. He currently runs Cabaña Buenavista, Buenavista Terrace and owns three restaurants in Murcia La Trastienda, La Trastienda Shopping Center El Tiro and La Terraza de Pablo González.

He is a trainer of professionals in the Tourist Qualification Center of the Region of Murcia since 2012. In January 2018 he was awarded the Chef de l'Avenir (chef of the future) award given by the International Academy of Gastronomy.

In May 2018 he received the Mercury Award for Tourism Promotion of the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia (2017) and in June 2018 he received the Gold Medal of the Region of Murcia.
