The neighbors of Las Lomas del Rame will stop receiving ordinary mail in their homes (31/08/2018)

The residents of the Urbanization Las Lomas del Rame in Los Alcázares will stop receiving ordinary mail in their homes after the decision adopted by the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) and will have to go to the nearest post office or install some pluridomiciliary concentrated lockers.

Decision that the Neighborhood Association of Lomas del Rame has known during the month of July by registered letter from the (CNMC) National Commission of Markets and Competition, in which it informed that in said urbanization the circumstances set forth in the Article 37.4.b of the Postal Regulation to be considered a special environment and lose important service.

In this sense, it specifies the regulations that, when considered as special environments, the distribution will be made through pluridomiciliary concentrated pigeonholes.

To do this, there must be at least two of the following conditions: The number of inhabitants registered is equal to or less than 25 hab / hectare, the number of dwellings or premises is equal to or less than 10 viv / hectare and the volume of ordinary shipments in the environment does not exceed 5 weekly shipments of average per address and in annual computation.

And the Urbanization Las Lomas del Rame, according to the report, does not meet the number of censuses per hectare and the volume of ordinary shipments.

The spokesman of the PSOE of Los Alcázares, Mario Cervera, explained that "the data used by the National Commission of Markets and Competition do not match those handled by the City of Los Alcázares, so I hope that the municipal government has presented allegations and justifications for not making a decision that goes against the interests of the residents of Las Lomas del Rame. "

He has continued saying that "we are going to present a motion in the next Plenary asking the CNMC to stop the procedure, the neighbors chose us to defend their interests and we can not remain as mere spectators while making a decision so damaging to this development."
