After receiving communication of adverse weather phenomena of yellow level with rain forecast, with cumulative rainfall in an hour of 15mm in which the area of ​​Los Alcázares can be affected from 06:00 hours on September 9 until 00:00 hours of September 10, the mayor of Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida, has decided to activate the Municipal Emergency Plan in the pre-emergency phase in which the staff is activated in a preventive manner.
The first mayor has ordered the activation of the Comprehensive Security Center and for coordination purposes to the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies, Chief of the Los Alcázares Fire Department, Local Police Chief, Commander of the Civil Guard Post in Los Alcázares , Chief of Municipal Operations, Head of the Advanced Command Post of Los Alcázares, as well as those responsible for the different groups of the Territorial Plan of Civil Protection in the municipality.
On the other hand, both the mayor of Los Alcázares and the councilor of Interior and Civil Protection, Nicolás Ruíz, coordinated the municipal teams to carry out a review of grids and scuppers of everything in the municipality.
Bastida explained that "with the activation of the Emergency Plan is not intended to alert the population, but simply trying to activate the staff in a preventive manner so that they are available for any eventuality that may occur" he said.
