The Patchwork group of the Municipal Center of Las Claras del Mar Menor and the Oasis Neighborhood Association, today delivered a € 950 check to the Spanish Association for the Fight against Cancer in Los Alcázares, chaired by Teresa González.
The donation that has been given comes from the collection of the Patchwork group, English and Spanish women who reside in the municipality and who assiduously gather to do manual works such as quilts, rugs or cushions among many other items.
Also, this year, the Oasis Neighborhood Association, have also contributed a donation of the activities they carry out throughout the year.
The mayor of Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida, commented that "it has been several years since Patchwork handed over the donation and this year the Oasis Neighborhood Association has joined, I want to thank you for your solidarity and I am sure that with this money you put your grain of sand for the investigation of this disease that touches us all directly or indirectly "he explained.
