Solidarity hands are needed to help those affected after the passage of DANA (16/09/2019)

Several buses are scheduled to depart early in the morning from the Palacio de los Deportes de Murcia to Los Alcázares.

The cold drop that has kept the entire Region of Murcia on red alert in recent days has caused innumerable material damage.

Municipalities such as Beniel, Molina de Segura, Torre Pacheco or Murcia were surprised by this intense storm, but Los Alcázares has been the area most affected by DANA.

In San Javier, the largest number of liters per square meter in the entire Region fell: approximately 333.6 liters, causing numerous ravages, possibly declaring it as a castrophic zone.

Therefore, at the moment the help of volunteers from all over the Region to rebuild this town and restore normalcy is of vital importance.

The Murcian businesswoman María del Mar Abenza, together with the bus solidarity companies, 'Travelpym' and 'Terrabus', joins this call making available to those interested those transports that will approach the area of the Mar Menor to help in the cleanup.

There they will be provided with brooms and other products necessary for the removal of mud from schools, homes and commercial establishments: in these hard times, only solidarity hands and desire to help are needed.

Volunteers are scheduled tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17, in a double schedule: the first bus will depart at 10.00 am from the parking lot near the Palacio de los Deportes de Murcia and will arrive at the City Hall of Los Alcazares, where volunteers will be distributed through the 'zero zone', being his return at 6:00 pm also from the Town Hall.

The second shift will take place from 11 am to 6 pm, with the same location of departure and arrival.

The session itself will distribute a snack to all the volunteers who join.

In addition, tomorrow is a holiday in the town of Murcia, so the different brigades are encouraged to collaborate as there is a lot of work ahead and there are limited places.

Mar Abenza offers its help in a selfless way through the SEA Commitment, a Social, Economic and Environmental initiative involved with the development of the responsible policies with this initiative.

To join, those interested in helping with cleaning can contact the email solidarity@marevents.org or through WhatsApp 649 44 09 54.
