The Local Government of the City of Los Alcázares, approves proposal of the Department of Youth to create the 1st edition of Awards for Academic Excellence that aim, value effort and excellence of students in secondary and High school IES Menárguez Antonio Costa and the College Las Claras del Mar Menor.
These awards are born with the intention of giving official recognition to the merits of students who demonstrate a special commitment in studies and at the same time, encourage the students.
The Youth Council will deliver twelve awards in teaching or computer equipment, valued at approximately € 150.
Awards of Excellence will be established in the following categories;
award for best academic record for students of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of ESO, as well as 1st and 2nd High school of each school.
The councilman of Youth, Nicolas Ruiz stressed that "this is another incentive to encourage and motivate young people in their studies."
To participate in these awards for academic excellence, students must formalize their requests, presenting in the Municipal Register a set of documentation that is collected in the bases of these awards can be found on www.losalcazares.es and also may extend information and be helped by youth information in processing the request.
