The Plenary Session of the City Council of Los Alcázares approves the Municipal Budgets of 2018 (23/01/2018)

The City Council of Los Alcázares approved in the Extraordinary Plenary session on January 22, the municipal budget for the year 2018.

A budget that was approved by the absolute majority of the corporation with the eight votes of the Popular Party and the vote of the councilor of Citizens.

In the voting, PSOE and Ganar Los Alcázares voted against the budgets with a total of eight votes.

The new budget, according to the municipal group of the Popular Party, will be the budget of the recovery, the budget that Los Alcázares needs after the past floods.

An argument with which the party of Citizens coincided, which explained that the municipality deserved some budgets to get ahead.

Among the proposals presented by the Popular Party and approved by an absolute majority are the rehabilitation of Paseo de la Feria (400,000 euros), the rehabilitation of places (100,000 euros), the replacement of paving Los Narejos (64,668.93 euros). ) and the Lomas del Rame (25,000 euros), new parks and gardens (50,000 euros), the rehabilitation of the fishermen's dock (42,000 euros) and a rescue water bike for Civil Protection (15,000 euros), among other concepts.

In addition to these investments, the already awarded rehabilitation of Hall 13 of October and the Heated Pool are added to it.

And the award pending, artificial turf soccer field, Town Hall Square and beach arrangement.

In addition, the new budget incorporates more aid to sports associations, cultural and neighborhood, compared to previous budgets, which claim according to the Popular Party, get more and better social opportunities of all kinds in the municipality.

It will also increase the money allocated to the Department of Social Services and Social Policy, these councils being the most economically reinforced for, according to Anastasio Bastida, "that no citizen who needs it is left without their help from the city.

Some aid that with the government of the PP is given with objective criteria for the people who truly need it, thanks to an Ordinance approved during this legislature. "Regarding the controversy with the alleged salary increase that the PSOE manifested unfortunately in social networks, both the municipal auditor as the secretary of the City Council, acknowledged having misinterpreted the Plenary Organization that marked the rewards of councilors with or without exclusive dedication, which set a maximum number of Municipal Government Boards, limit that the auditor passed overlooked in the Bases of Execution of the Budget.

After the correction of failure, the councilors of the PSOE and Ganar Los Alcázares, doubted the word of the municipal technicians and the Popular Party noted that historically the only party that has lowered their salaries were them in 2011.

Quite the opposite of what the opposition did in full in 2015 where they raised salaries to 50% and then it was lowered to the councilors of the government.

The Popular Party spokeswoman, Cristina Sanchez ended his speech pointing out "these budgets are those that represent the majority of the villagers, where many of the requests that all the parties have been claiming for some time have been reflected, in such a way that we make this budget reach the maximum number of alcazareños ".

Anastasio Bastida concluded "we must put aside the political differences and not lose the respect between us, the councilors.

Many of us are friends and during the approval of these budgets some of us have lost the forms, for which I am grateful that after all, we have asked for forgiveness.

Now we have to work to carry out all the proposals reflected in the budget, the alcazares deserve it ".
