The mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida alongside Youth Councillors Los Alcazares, Francisco Mendez, Angela Gaona of San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier Estibalí Masegosa, presented the European exchange program Youth 'Youth in Action' in which 13 young participants of the Mar Menor.
In exchange involved Sweden, Spain and Italy, and in which the people Solna (Sweden) will host 13 youth of Los Alcazares, San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier.
The June 25 Solna travel to a town near Stockholm about 68,000 inhabitants, which shall remain seven days.
Young people during their stay and because of the campaign launched by the Council of Europe 'Against Intolerance in Internet', delve into issues such as freedom of expression on the Internet, the fight against intolerance and incitement to hatred and online different forms of cyberbullying.
The mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida, took the opportunity to wish "to have a very pleasant stay and enjoy meeting other people and other cultures," while Bastida stressed that "are a great opportunity to raise awareness Los Alcazares, San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, the region of Mar Menor with our culture and cuisine. "
Councilman Young, Francisco Mendez, thanked the cooperation of the municipalities of San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier in close collaboration which have provided further facilitate this project to be a success among young people in the three municipalities Mar Menor.
Finally, Anastasio Bastida, highlighted the work done from the Council of Europe with the implementation of this type of awareness campaigns, awareness and education for our youth.
