Next Thursday, May 24, the registration period for the different tests opens.
The Councilors of Sports of the City Councils of Los Alcázares, San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar, Nicolás Ruiz Gómez, Estíbaliz Masegosa Gea and Javier Castejón Martínez, the General Director of Sports, Alonso Gómez and the organizer of the event, Aitor Jiménez, have presented this morning the circuit of crossings to swim the Mar Menor to be developed during the coming months of September and October.
Specifically, the circuit will start in Los Alcázares on September 9 with the swim crossing that will depart from the Perdiguera Island and will have as goal the Nautical Club of the municipality.
The participants will be transported by boat to the island, where they will be able to see the sunrise before diving into the water to swim across the Mar Menor.
The next crossing will be on September 30 in San Pedro del Pinatar, which will have the same place as the starting and finishing line, the Nautical Club of San Pedro del Pinatar.
Finally, the circuit will end on October 14 with the crossing of San Javier, in which participants will leave from La Manga to reach the beach of Santiago de la Ribera.

In addition, an Open test will be held for swimmers who want to register that will have three different distances between the three venues, that is, there will be a distance of 500 meters and another of 1500 meters in Los Alcázares, San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier, while and a full distance that the swimmers can perform according to the venue, 6000 meters in Los Alcázares, 3000 meters in San Pedro and 5000 meters in San Javier.
It is foreseen that around 1,500 swimmers participate in the Swim Mar Menor swim circuit.
