The arrival to the government of the Popular Party in Los Alcázares meant, among other measures, the closure of some municipal facilities that seemed expendable, with the aim of reducing the current cost of the consistory.
But soon this measure generated a real headache for the municipal government, since the closed municipal buildings have been subjected on several occasions to theft, vandalism and even "squatting", causing serious damage and destruction in them.
It is the Integral Center for Tourism Development (CIDETUR), built by the Mar Menor Tourist Association, an entity made up of the municipalities of San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Cartagena and Los Alcázares, before its dissolution in 2011 and which it housed the technicians in charge of designing and carrying out the different campaigns of tourist promotion of the Mar Menor.
As reported by the PSOE spokesman of Los Alcázares, Mario Cervera, "the municipal government of Anastasio Bastida closed and left this municipal building without proving that municipal and personal documentation was left." There are videos that show the documentation stacked, much of it with private data, such as requests, decrees, and that would be a crime. "
He has continued stating that, "this center has been subject to robbery, occupations, vandalism since its closure, despite the fact that we have given the municipal government alternatives for the use of the center, such as a municipal business incubator. repeatedly requested to visit this facility to check its status, but the municipal government, and especially the mayor -Anastasio Bastida, must have much to hide to not allow us entry.
