Los Alcázares registered last June the best unemployment rate of the last 11 years, standing at 13.23%, with a total of 912 unemployed in a population of 15,349 inhabitants.
This data is understood by the municipal government as a revealing data on the recovery of the municipality.
In 2008, at the beginning of the national crisis and with a socialist government, the unemployment rate in Los Alcázares rose to 15.81% with a total of 1,062 unemployed persons of 15,171 inhabitants, a population smaller than the current one.
"The work that the government of the Region of Murcia has done in recent years for the improvement and quality of employment are bearing fruit.
From the municipal government we have also taken actions for six years to train and advise future entrepreneurs who are finding or starting their first business, "said the mayor of Los Alcázares Anastasio Bastida.
