The mayor of Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida, has received today all the peñas huertanas that during these ten days of International Week of the Huerta and the Sea, will offer their best folkloric dances but also, the best of the Murcia gastronomy.
The first mayor, accompanied by the director of the Week and the councilor for Tourism, Maite Olmos, wanted to recognize the work of the rocks of "El Almirez" of Santo Ángel, "El Apio" of Patiño, "El Azahar" of Beniaján, "El Cántaro" by Cabezo de Torres, "El Chisquero" by Barriomar-La Purísima, "La Crilla" by Puente Tocinos and "La Horqueta" by Javalí Nuevo.
In addition they have also received recognition, the family of the Angel Serrano, the Association of wind mills of Torre Pacheco, folkloric groups and in short, all the staff that works during the International Week of the Garden, both from within and from outside.
The mayor of Los Alcázares explained that "they are the true architects of this multicultural week that takes place in Los Alcázares, which is gaining momentum over the years and is on track to reach half a century," he said.
During the ceremony, the Peñas Huertanas, have given a plaque of gratitude to Anastasio Bastida, showing their gratitude for hospitality.
XV International Bando de la Huerta y el Mar
More than a thousand people participate on Saturday in the XV edition of the International Bands of the Garden and the Sea that will feature representations of peñas huertanas, regional folk groups ("Ntra. Sra. De la Salceda", "El Pinar", "Mar Menor "," Seven Crowns ") and foreigners.
In addition we can see representations of the Berber Raids, the Burial of the Sardine, costumbristas charangas floats, comparsas and troveros among others.
The parade will start from Calle Marqués de Rozalejo-Los Narejos to Avda. 13 de Octubre
