The second test of the circuit of crossings Endurance Swim Mar Menor began at 8 in the morning in Los Alcázares when a boat displaced swimmers from the municipality to the Perdiguera Island, where they jumped into the water to cross the Mar Menor to swim .
During the morning three tests were held with different distances, the first of which was the crossing from the Perdiguera Island to Carrión Beach where they completed a distance of 6000 meters, one of 1500 meters and another of 500 meters
On this occasion, Emilio López Izquierdo has been the fastest to cross the lagoon with a time of 1:43:11, the second position went to Juan Diego Miñerola Marco from the Grupo Entreno Natación Orihuela who made the crossing in 1:53:08 and the third step of the Full Distance in male category went to Miguel Zaragoza Fuster of the Master Murcia Swimming Club with a time of 1:56:47.
In females, Vicki Connolly of the Elche Swimming Club, was the first in its category of the Full Distance with a time of 2:01:58, followed by Heather Gould of the North Shields Poly who performed the 6000 meters in 2:58:21 .
In the Half Distance of 1500 meters, Adrián Peñalver, Enrique Corbalán and Rubén Gutiérrez, took the podium in the men's category, while Almudena Cabezas, Eimy Arteaga and Diana Sernantes, took the podium in the women's category.
In the 500 meters Open, the three rungs of the men's podium were occupied by Andrey Syrtsov, Samuel Peñalver and Pablo Jacobo, while Cinthya Costa, Martina Morales and Andrea Jacobo took the top three places.
The mayor of Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida and the Councilor for Sports, Nicolás Ruíz were in charge of handing out the trophies to the winners of the second round of the Swim Mar Menor Endurance Crossings circuit, in which almost a hundred swimmers participated.
The circuit of crossings will end on October 14 in the journey that will go from La Manga to San Javier.
