More than 200 clubs composed of an average of 40 people, will cook cauldron on the banks of the Mar Menor on October 12th.
As it is already known, the municipality celebrates the "Day of the Cauldron", an event that has great popularity and an influx of public.
To the more than two hundred rocks that stretch along the beaches and elaborate their 'calderos', a typical dish of the Mar Menor, thousands of curious people and visitors come to the beach of Los Alcázares to enjoy the sun, its atmosphere and its gastronomy.
On the morning of October 12, the beaches will begin to fill up as if we were in the middle of August, with a bathroom included.
At 10:00, the batucada and charanga will start playing along the Paseo Marítimo.
An hour later, the traditional seafaring mass will be held, which will be enlivened by the Coral Nuestra Sra.de la Asunción.
Beginning at 12:00, the cauldrons will start boiling with the mobile phone and in the afternoon, foam party, salsa afternoon and the Filiu y Cia concert at Playa de las Palmeras.
The "Day of the Cauldron" is integrated in the celebrations of October of the municipality, that commemorate the Municipal Autonomy, obtained the 13 of October of 1983, when Los Alcázares segregated of the municipalities of San Javier and Torre Pacheco.
