Anastasio Bastida and the spokespersons of PSOE, Ganar Los Alcázares and Ciudadanos join to demand urgent measures in order to avoid the problems suffered by the municipality in the face of rainfall.
The mayor of Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida, accompanied by the Socialist Party spokesman, Mario Pérez Cervera, the spokesperson of Ciudadanos, Esperanza Balsalobre Moya and the spokesperson of Ganar Los Alcázares, Trinidad Espinosa Mira, have demanded urgent measures from the different administrations to put an end to the problem that originates in the municipality every time it rains.
Bastida explained that in the next budget will allocate 5 million euros to perform the relevant work in the town, in order that the water does not flood the municipality again but has also made it clear that "this is a half solution because it is to palliate damages once the water reaches the municipality, but the problem is higher up, in the canal and the ramblas "he explained.
During the meeting with the media, it has become clear that the solution must be given by the Confederation and the rest of the institutions, since the City Council has no competence to carry out works on the D7 canal or in the different ramblas.
The mayor has said that "on the one hand we can not do it and on the other, we do not have the 20 million euros necessary to carry them out, so this expense must be based on the different administrations," he said.
All the groups have agreed that "the neighbors can not be living with fear every time we have rain forecasts, so urgent solutions are needed".
Bastida has ensured that "we all go to one, colors do not matter, only the safety and well-being of our neighbors matters".
Tomorrow a neighborhood gathering has been called to which the mayor of the municipality, Anastasio Bastida and the entire municipal corporation will attend.
