The Galician Iago Lopez (RCN Portosín) has been proclaimed champion of the 1st qualifying regatta for the Class A, with a view to the European 2020 in Puerto Sherry (Cádiz).
A meeting that has gathered this weekend to 27 ships from Galicia, Comunitat Valenciana, Cataluña, Andalucía and Región de Murcia.
Good general wind conditions, although in the day of Saturday, March 2 came with less intensity, rising to 7 -8 knots in the last test of the day.
The appointment in the Mar Menor is closed with a total of 6 tests.
Lopez, who has made a break in his Olympic preparation in 49er to compete in the Class A, has signed 2 partial wins and 4 seconds, which has placed him in that first place with 8 points.
The podium was completed with another of the great favorites competing in the Mar Menor, as is the Valencian Abdón Ibáñez (RCN Valencia) adding 16 points, both in the category Class A Flying, while the local Micky Todd (CTD Infanta Cristina ) the bronze has been hung, in addition to taking the trophy to the first Class A in Classic mode.
