The head of the list of the Popular Party for the Region of Murcia to the Senate, Violante Tomás and the candidate for the Lower House, Nuria Guijarro, participated this afternoon in Los Alcázares in a meeting with women in which he said that the PP is the party that "truly defends women because it respects all options and integrates all the wills."
In this meeting, held at the Hotel La Encarnación with women and senior citizens of the municipality, Tomás has defended the outstanding role of women in the progress of the Region and has announced that one of its objectives in the Senate will be to make Murcia visible.
The candidate recalled that in the PP "we are committed to real equality and that is why the Popular Party government has drawn up the first specific Law for the Family and has promoted a Regional Pact against Gender Violence."
Tomás stressed that "we believe in the role of families as a fundamental pillar of our society and therefore we support women with measures focused on education and in defense of social policies" and has emphasized that "we fight against gender violence and the wage gap, and we defend equality in all areas, especially with employment as the main resource to boost the real autonomy of women and the elderly ".
