The debt of the City of Los Alcázares amounted to a record high in 2011 with 33.6 million euros and which marked the end of 28 years of socialist government together with the alleged corruption.

A total of 33.6 million euros of debt that caused a Severe Adjustment Plan with restrictions that still continue.
It has been 8 years and that debt has been drastically reduced as assured by the Financial Economic Plan approved last July at the proposal of the socialist government in its short month of government and certifying that the current debt fell to 11,516,592 , 07 of which, 8,409,626.29 euros correspond to credit institutions and 3,106,965.48 euros to the companies RENFE, Aqualia and Urbaser, thus not accumulating medium-long term debt with small companies that are the ones that More suffer these delays.
A reduction that supposes a total of 22 million less than in 2011 and for which Nicolás Ruiz, spokesman of the popular municipal group, demands the socialist government to reduce its own debt at the same rate that the popular governments did to settle it in 2023 .
Nicolás Ruiz strongly criticizes the current position of the socialist government, more concerned with making "opposition to the opposition" than governing.
As soon as they reached the government, they told the media that the PP had spent 60% of the annual budget, a statement denied by a report that the socialist government took to Plenary last month, where it was claimed that of the 29,502,981 , 81 euros of total budget allocated, 18,669,706.09 euros were still available, which represents a real available credit of 63% as of July.
