It has been 3 years since Los Alcázares suffered a sad episode due to the floods that occurred in December 2016. Since then institutions, companies and neighbors have been united to recover the affected areas.
On July 5, Mario Cervera, current mayor of Los Alcázares announced at a press conference the release of aid for neighbors affected by the floods of 2016, amounting to € 40,000 (of the initial € 60,000) to donations made by businessmen, associations and individuals.
These grants, which have a maximum amount per affected of € 2,000, and are intended for those neighbors who, having their habitual residence in the municipality, have not received any help to cover the damages caused in the floods.
Today, August 20, the deadline for submitting applications, which began on July 19, has ended, and the neighbors who have requested this help total 33 applications.
The commitment of the current Government Team, led by Mayor Mario Cervera, thus fulfills its commitment to those affected and affected, whose performance considers "one of the top priorities during my management, since what really matters is to improve the quality of life of the alcazareños and the recovery and transformation of the locality ".
Now, the city council will begin to verify the applications and the documentation presented by each of those affected.
