The Popular Party has requested from the Government Board documentation regarding the installation, payment of fees, permits and insurance after detecting a series of deficiencies in the slide that can cause damage to minors who use the activity.
From August 10 to 14 the Department of Youth announced the activity of a giant inflatable slide in the Plaza del Espejo intended for the youngest public.
This date was extended until the 25th of the same month and subsequently cut until August 22, after having been denounced in social networks.
After the visual verification of the slide, the Popular Party decided today Tuesday, August 20, to request the certificate of installation of the inflatable slide, the Demarcation of Coasts permit, the report of the municipal technician, the payment of the fee of the Regulatory Ordinance of Temporary Installations and the document indicating that the inflatable slide complies with EN14960.
From the Popular Party criticize that the slide has been tied to private cars and most seriously, to a municipal van to act as an anchor.
In addition, it was also verified that the electrical installation was without any security and accessible to any person or minor.
Installation that supposes a greater risk to the being an aquatic activity and with great influx of minors in the zone.
A few hours ago, after the denunciation of a councilor of the Popular Party in social networks, the Department of Youth has decided to cancel the activity arguing that "for reasons beyond the municipality the giant slide will remain open until August 22," so the Partido Popular has decided to investigate this activity to ensure user safety.
