Mayor Mario Cervera once again vindicates to the Autonomous Community the status of this work that its deterioration due to the rains of yesterday represents a “danger to the populationâ€.
Los Alcázares has had a storm tank since 2016 that according to the municipal government team is not fulfilling its mission due to the “bad construction of this work by the CARM,†said the Councilor for Public Road Maria José Benzal.
And it is that this tank, located next to the José Carrasco playground has dawned this morning with several damages.
In addition, this organization at the request of the councilor of Los Alcázares Mario Cervera is going to make a report of risks for the population and will again require the Autonomous Community that the infrastructure is "done in conditions" to ensure the physical integrity of the neighbors.
"The storm tank is a danger to the neighbors and its current state is useless, so we require the CARM to think about the safety of the people of Alcazara once and for all" On the other hand, municipal sources explain that water that accumulates in the rain remains stagnant and can cause a health problem.
The mayor recalls that "this unusable work of the Ministry of Environment carried out by what was then the responsible Advisor Adela Martínez-.Cachá and that is not even repeated by the City of Los Alcázares."
Cervera adds that “already in the opposition we denounced this situation on several occasions since since its construction the storm tank has not been put into operation, a work that cost more than 1,200,000 euros and that has been totally abandoned since it was inaugurated "
The government team says that “we are outraged by the state in which this infrastructure is currently located, since the lattice is sunk, which represents a danger for the pedestrians, not only for the sinking but also for the stumbling blocks and falls that may occur.
For its part, the Department of Public Road has carried out urgent tasks to avoid any accident, such as the installation of a sheet to cover the sunken lattice and two arches belonging to the storm tank.
