On September 30, the mayors of Los Alcázares and Torre Pacheco held a joint meeting with the Government Delegation and the Segura Hydrographic Confederation.
All administrations managed by the PSOE (with the exception of the Mayor of Torre Pacheco), who also had as a guest the regional deputy and socialist leader Diego Conesa.
A meeting that is presupposed was held to find solutions, but that evidenced a high political content because they left out of the future demonstration the political leaders and neighbors of San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Cartagena, consistories where the Popular Party has Government responsibilities
From the PP of Los Alcázares, despite seeing with good eyes the right to demonstrate to demand solutions, they strongly criticize that the demonstration aims to exempt the competent administrations managed by the PSOE from blame, to hold the Government of the Region of Murcia accountable of the floods
It should be noted that the powers on channels and ramblas are the responsibility of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation and therefore of the Government of Spain, so that from the PP of Los Alcázares we see coherent and objective, that such manifestation will be carried out in front of any of these organizations .
In addition, the exclusion of the municipalities governed by the Popular Party, show the clear political intentionality of both Diego Conesa and his pupil Alcazareslo Mario Pérez Cervera.
Nicolás Ruiz, spokesman for the PP of Los Alcázares, says that "we will request all the mayors affected regardless of the political color they meet to address the problem in a common way and pressure the different administrations to reach a definitive solution to the flood problem ", also the spokesman of the PP of Los Alcázares has pointed out" it is not time to use a catastrophe that has affected us all to try to obtain political revenue in the face of the next general elections. But to join forces to give definitive solutions to the neighbors who have lost everything for the second time. "
