Mario Cervera asked the president of the CARM on August 6 for a meeting to raise all the needs of the municipality, but the councilman has only coincided with that in joint meetings caused by floods and the Mar Menor.
Mario Cervera took office last June as mayor of the town, but he was very aware of the needs of Los Alcázares since his previous experience in the opposition gave him the necessary knowledge to know the model of the city in which he wants to convert Los Alcázares, solving their deficiencies and raising their potential.
To do this, as the rest of the councilors of the Region of Murcia, they updated the projects that the City Council could execute to achieve its main objective, “to return to Los Alcázares the splendor that it had lost in recent years at the hands of the PP†.
One of the urgent tasks was the request for meetings with general directorates and councils to put on the table what needs the municipality had.
But the main person responsible for responding to the demands of the people of Alcazar was the head of the CARM executive Fernando López Miras, as president of all Murcia, the only one who has not attended.
Cervera for this reason, he requested an appointment at the beginning of August in which he reflected the most important issues related to Education, Health, the situation of the Mar Menor and of course the urgent solutions to avoid floods.
A month later DANA arrived, and once again the town flooded.
The mayor highlighted in this paper the need for the expansion and improvement of the Institute whose classrooms are saturated, and for this the City Council offers CARM a land that would solve this problem.
In this same area Mario Cervera proposes to implement the educational offer with cycles of intermediate and higher level of Vocational Training, which would improve job placement, as well as the construction of a new school, which has already achieved the commitment of its construction this week. .
Another of the issues that the mayor of Los Alcázares wants to address when he manages to be attended by the president will be the extension of the hours of care of the Health Center, since his current schedule is insufficient to serve the census population.
The implementation of the new General Urban Planning Plan for the reorganization of the municipality in order to avoid flooding, the construction of a Storm Tank, and the serious situation of the Mar Menor add to this long list of emergencies that Los Alcázares requires of processing to give a better quality of life to its neighbors.
More than three months later some of the things have been achieved through the management of the local government on a daily basis, with a hard effort and with the serious obstacle of a new flood.
Mario Cervera says that “official visits to Los Alcazares do not provide solutions for my neighbors, what really responds to the municipality is that the President in the Region is aware of each of the problems that my people have and that the CARM is committed with their skills and with more funding for the necessary projects in order to recover Los Alcázares â€.
The representative of the alcazareños considers an “irresponsible attitude†that the chief of the Murcian executive “does not attend the requests of appointments of the mayors, since from where he is created region of which he is the president is from the municipalitiesâ€
