Los Alcázares will be part of the Cycling Tour of the Region of Murcia, becoming in 2020 the inaugural start of this race.
Undoubtedly, this sporting event is for the town a great event that brings together great athletes of an important level, taking another step in the town to promote competition sports.
Los Alcázares will live with enthusiasm this day, and will involve the students of the different centers, as well as the social fabric, so that they are supporting the runners at the start.
Los Alcázares will become part of the history of regional cycling with its participation in this round.
After the floods, the town will welcome this sporting event so that its streets and avenues are filled with neighbors and supporters of this sport to celebrate the departure of the cycling tour and live a different day.
The City Council has opted for this return with the purpose of supporting regional sport and being part of a historic day for cycling.
The Councilor for Sports, Pedro Pascual Lamas has said that “The Cycling Tour of the Region is an exciting event for all that will place Los Alcázares as a municipality that wants to grow in sports to respond to the thousands of followers it has this sport, and the hundreds of cyclists who wait for the arrival of this grand prize every year â€.
For his part, Mayor Mario Cervera has commented that “my support is unconditional and I hope that in the following editions a greater involvement on our part will be possible, with the aim of contributing to make bigger the sports that have great figures of the region at national and international level â€.
