Los Alcázares is not only recovering little by little from the floods suffered in the last quarter of 2019 through cleaning and renovation works, but it is also already implementing different plans on public roads and parks and gardens.
In a few days, the replacement of trees in green areas will begin, which is part of a Reforestation Plan with other actions worth approximately 90,000 euros.
This plantation will have 80 trees of different species among which is the spice jacaranda mimosifolia or celtis autralis among 3 others.
The caliber of the trunks of these species are between 45 centimeters larger and 18 centimeters smaller.
The areas of the town where they will be planted are: Río Alberche Street, Río Nalón Avenue, Mining Roundabout, Los Narejos Seafront, Pintor Miguel Ángel Street, Andromeda Street and Diana Street.
On the other hand, Mayor Mario Cervera has explained that “reforestation according to studies helps to prevent water avenues, that is to say torrential rains in a natural way and is a current measure to combat the great problem that Los Alcazares has, they will also serve to create shade in gardens where children play and adults walk, as well as beautify the municipality â€
