The president of the Safe Hydrographic Confederation (CHS), Mario Urrea, has received this morning the mayor of Los Alcázares, Mario Perez Cervera, to study the effect of flooding in the municipality and how to reduce its impact on the municipality.
The mayor has presented various proposals made by municipal technicians in order to be considered in the study that the CHS is carrying out on a larger scale.
Urrea has transmitted to the first mayor the actions he is developing in this regard, such as the demarcation project of the Rambla de La Maraña and a more comprehensive study of all the measures that must be taken in the region to improve the safety of people and property , research being carried out by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
Urrea has also informed of the next technical meeting to be held in the next days at the CHS where municipal technicians from the affected Aytos will participate (San Javier, Torre Pacheco, Cartagena and Los Alcázares, which will be joined by those of San Pedro and El Pilar de la Horadada), representatives of the neighborhood associations affected will also participate in this meeting
