This plan is presented under the identity sign "Recuperar Los Alcázares", with the intention of "offering solutions and hope to the neighbors after so many blows followed," said the mayor of the municipality Mario Cervera. Among the most important proposals, the document includes economic measures, on tourism, commerce, culture, employment and public health. "All of them are essential and have been reflected in this document after studying the needs arising from the coronavirus, and although it will be a significant effort for the administration and having to do without other activities, our duty is to be alongside our neighbors in such hard times, "explained the councilman. Notable measures In the economy section, the following stand out: the city council will not pass on to the residents the rise in the price of water for the year 2020 in the tariff, and said cost, which amounts to € 115,000, will be assumed by the council; 100% discount on the public occupation rate of chairs and tables throughout the year 2020; granting a higher terrace occupancy, as far as possible, to each hospitality premises in order to maintain the recommended safety distance between table and table; or the suspension of collection of municipal taxes, such as sports, cultural, nursery schools, concilia, among others. In the block on initiatives related to Tourism, the most important project is the creation of the image "Los Alcázares, Safe Tourist Destination", aimed at individuals and / or legal entities whose main economic activity is carried out within the municipality of Los Alcázares; as a seal or commitment of tourist-sanitary quality whose purpose is to differentiate and recognize by means of a badge that the legally established conditions are met; or improve the Mar Menor image as a destination with the creation of a Commonwealth or Board of Trustees, as well as the construction of docks or spas for its protection. In the area of ??Commerce, a campaign has been launched to boost consumption in the town, in which a watch purchase will be carried out each month through a draw in which 750 euros will be spent in establishments of Los Alcázares for three hours. In Social Policy there are already many things carried out during this quarantine, but at times like these it is very necessary to increase efforts in this portfolio, for this reason scholarships will be awarded for dining rooms or the municipal food bank will be strengthened, in addition to plans of accompaniment to vulnerable people. And regarding Health, all the measures to stop the contagion and contain the virus are vital, for this reason, the city council will continue with the shock plan for cleaning and disinfecting common areas, with the processing of online procedures, hygiene in buildings public or attention to citizens with schedules to avoid crowds. As Mayor Cervera has indicated, "this document is very necessary for Los Alcázares, and we want all the political forces to support it, because the neighbors need everyone's unity at times like this, therefore it will be presented to them as a project open, so that the opposition parties offer their proposals.
