The investigation began when the Civil Guard, thanks to citizen collaboration, was alerted by a neighbor from the municipality of Los Alcázares that a mail delivery woman had been seen throwing into a garbage container a box that she was carrying on her motorcycle.

Local Police officers inspected the area where the events had occurred and located the waste container where they found a box with about 150 ordinary letters, including some from public bodies such as SEPE, the Tax Agency or the General Directorate of Traffic, among others.
All that correspondence was recovered. Thanks to the information provided by the citizen, precise details were obtained on the physical description of the person who had thrown the box into the container. The investigations carried out afterwards revealed that it was an employee who, that day, had been awarded the distribution in the area, so that once identified, she was investigated as the alleged author of the crime of discovery and disclosure of secrets. The person investigated and the proceedings investigated have been made available to the Investigating Court of San Javier (Murcia).
