| Aqualia will invest more than 70,000 euros to provide a solution to the sanitation network of 32 homes | More than 30 homes on Meseguer, Santa Teresa, Andalucía and Avenida Libertad streets will see their sewerage network improved after the agreement reached between the concessionaire Aqualia and the Los Alcázares City Council.
The work consists of a by-pass that redirects the passage outside the military base of the General Air Academy that is located in the vicinity. Among the actions, the replacement of the currently fiber cement pipe with a 361 ml PVC pipe stands out, and seven sewer manholes will be included, with an excavation of 505 cubic meters and 900 square meters of asphalt pavement replacement. As explained by the Mayor of Los Alcázares, Mario Cervera, "with this work we provide a solution to a major problem that residents of the streets around the Los Alcázares Military Base had been suffering, where sanitation problems were very common as a consequence of its bad state having to act even inside the houses when finding the sewer registers in the atria of these ". The actions will begin next week, as it is an urgent work to end the leaks that occur as a result of the poor state of sanitation.
