| Psoe, PP and C's, have jointly signed a document for the benefit of the municipality to alleviate the crisis caused by the Covid- 19 | The political parties that are part of the local Los Alcázares corporation have made the document visible this morning that includes more than 80 measures to minimize the serious consequences of the global coronavirus pandemic.
The spokespersons for each group, Antonio López Campoy (PSOE), Cristina Sánchez (PP) and Antonio Pastor (C's), accompanied by the mayor Mario Cervera, have signed this project at a press conference that includes proposals for health, education, trade, economic impulse, tourism and culture, among others. The most prominent measures within the economic area are those referring to the water rate, such as that the City Council will not pass on to the neighbors the increase in the price of the same for the year 2020 in the rate, and the council will assume it at a cost of 115,000 euros; the 100% discount on the occupation rate on public roads of chairs and tables throughout the year 2020, the concession of the upper occupation of the terrace as far as possible to each hospitality establishment in order to be able to maintain the distance recommended security between table and table, or the modification of the fiscal calendar of the year 2020, allowing the delay of the voluntary payment period. The City Council has also returned the proportional part of the fees and public prices paid and not enjoyed during the period of the State of Alarm, and will be reduced from the IBI tax rate for the freezing of the receipt corresponding to the year 2020. On the other hand, a budget of 100,000 euros will be enabled to cover health emergency expenses due to the exceptional situation caused by Covid-19. Measures that cover all sectors In terms of Tourism, Commerce, Culture, and Health, some of the areas most affected by the health crisis, there are very beneficial proposals for citizens, some of them already underway. One is the Tourism campaign "Los Alcázares, Safe Tourist Destination", a seal or commitment of tourist-health quality whose purpose is to differentiate and recognize by means of a distinctive that the conditions established by law are met, both by the State and by the City Council de Los Alcázares, security protocols and prevention of Covid-19 in shops, hotels, catering establishments, and SMEs in general.
More than 100 businesses have already joined this campaign, which comply with health protocols, thus helping to become one of the municipalities with the least coronavirus infections. Regarding the Mar Menor, the document reflects one of the most important projects for the municipality, since the city council is committed to seeking a model for the protection of the lagoon, prioritizing the construction of piers and spas. In Culture, the impulse of popular initiatives and citizen participation will prevail, as well as the implementation of a permanent cultural program; In Education, free material is guaranteed for the boys and girls of the Nursery School and the increase in auxiliary support staff.
In terms of employment, an employment program is being created coordinated with other administrations, in commerce, revitalization campaigns are being carried out to improve consumption in local businesses; and in Social Policy, expansion and reinforcement of the Municipal Home Help Service, food aid or care for people with functional diversity.
