| Despite the fact that the number of infections in the municipality is stable, the local government has decided to go ahead to prevent a second regional wave of cases by coronavirus | Due to the current situation caused by the COVID-19 crisis in the Region of Murcia, the Los Alcázares government team led by Mayor Mario Cervera has decided to suspend all summer activities that are being held in the Alcazareño municipality, after the latest news provided by the regional health authorities.Despite the fact that the number of infections in Los Alcázares remains stable, health sources warn of a second wave of infections in the region, and an increase in cases in the town, as is happening in the rest of the municipalities.For this reason, due to responsibility and prevention, it has been decided to take restrictive measures in order to avoid a possible spread, as is already the case in other towns, and the summer cinema, drive-in cinema, parades in commercial areas have been suspended and proceeded at the close of the study hall.To counteract this situation, the Covid point of Los Narejos is carrying out numerous weekly PCR tests, and the city council continues with its daily tasks for the prevention of coronavirus according to the protocols indicated by the CARM Health Department.The mayor has launched a message to the population asking for citizen collaboration to prevent the growth of infections in the municipality.The city council emphasizes the rules of the Ministry of Health and requests to continue with sanitary measures such as the mandatory use of a mask, social safety distance, continuous hand washing, the prohibition of social gatherings of no more than six people who are not living together in public or private places, homes, bars and cafeterias, and the reduction of vehicle occupancy to 50% by people who are not living together and the mandatory use of a mask inside it.
