The mayor of Los Alc�zares, Mario Cervera, announced this morning at a press conference before the media new restrictive measures against COVID-19, which will come into effect as of Friday in the municipality in order to stop the latest wave of infections that is affecting both the town and the Region of Murcia. The main measures include, among others: Closure of municipal sports facilities, study rooms and playgrounds. Closure of the Day Center and the Center for the Third Age. Suspension of Sports Schools and activities with monitors The Municipal Library will offer the book loan system by appointment. Relocation of the weekly Tuesday market in Los Alc�zares.
It will be moved to the Fairgrounds (at the Municipal Sports Center) Intensification of security measures and access control in the Weekly Market on Saturdays in Los Narejos. These measures join those of a general nature announced by the Regional Government last Monday, after decreeing Phase 2 of healthcare risk in the Region of Murcia due to the increase in infections by Coronavirus; as well as the prohibition of meetings with people who do not live together (with the exception of workplaces and educational centers) announced yesterday also by the Government of the Autonomous Community . Regarding the restriction of meetings between non-cohabitants, Mayor Mario Cervera has stated that "it is a very difficult measure to control by the Los Alc�zares Local Police".
For this reason, it has asked "responsibility to all the neighbors in the fulfillment of all these measures, in one of the most difficult moments of this pandemic". In addition, the councilor has added that "it is not understood how the hotel is closed but the game rooms are kept open; or how this activity is not allowed but you can see families and people not living together in shopping centers or how schools continue to be allowed to continue with the terrible weather conditions despite having requested solutions for it for more than two months " . Cervera has concluded his speech at the press conference asking neighbors to "go to one" in the battle against the Coronavirus.
