The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure and the city of Los Alcázares agreed today to begin work on the declaration of a historic area of ​​the municipality of Los Alcázares as Area Regeneration and Urban Renewal (ARRU), "with which you can get funding for rehabilitation activities of buildings and property who need it, "said the Minister Pedro Rivera.

At this meeting, Rivera informed the mayor, Anastasio Bastida, that this initiative "citizens of the municipality can get up to 11,000 euros for rehabilitation activities, provided that accounts for 50 percent of the performance."

In addition, they may allocate another 2,000 euros per household rehabilitated to improve the quality and sustainability of the urban environment and equip them with necessary infrastructure, which would be implemented by the City.

The aim is to improve residential areas and restore historic buildings, city centers, degraded neighborhoods and rural communities, as well as promoting energy efficiency and accessibility to buildings.

The City Council shall specify the type of works and interventions that will be carried out and specify the number of dwellings in the previously defined area.

You also need to specify the investment and the costs of the proceedings, among others.

For this, the City of Los Alcazares must qualify for the next call for funding to conduct the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, under the extension of 2017 State Plan for the Promotion of Rental Housing, the in Buildings Rehabilitation and Regeneration and Renewal urban.
