The grants to companies of the municipality granted by the regional development agency in the last two years have allowed to create and maintain close to 400 jobs
The Community, through the Institute of Development, will promote business activity in Los Alcázares with new measures that favor the creation and consolidation of businesses, such as the promotion of entrepreneurship at an early age or the search for new business models aligned with the strengths and advantages competitive conditions offered by the municipality.
During the last two years the aid granted by the Info through various lines and programs such as the TIC Check or the participation in fairs and missions in international markets have allowed to create or maintain a total of 398 jobs in the municipality in related companies especially to the commerce and tourism sector.
The director of Info, Joaquín Gómez, and the mayor of the municipality, Anastasio Bastida, held a working meeting yesterday to finalize the collaboration between both institutions and try to advance in the implementation of some of these formulas.
"Local development is one of the pillars on which regional economic growth is based, and to enhance it, it is necessary to take advantage of the resources and competitive advantages of the municipalities, so that they have a solid business fabric that in turn contributes to the creation of jobs and, therefore, the welfare of its citizens, "said Joaquín Gómez.
In this sense, the regional development agency has a key tool to encourage entrepreneurship and the creation and consolidation of the business fabric, the Plan Emprendemos, which involves the main organizations, institutions and associations committed to entrepreneurship in the Region and It is endowed with a budget of 25 million euros for the current year, with which more than a hundred actions have been launched.
For the 2018-2020 period, the aforementioned plan is being finalized with new and updated actions to be carried out with a budget of more than 100 million euros.
One of the axes of this new plan is the promotion of entrepreneurship in local corporations, which will materialize through initiatives such as 'Puntopyme' and 'Active Municipality', the consolidation of companies with potential through projects such as 'Scale' Up ';
the start-up of new accelerators such as the crowdworking 'Murcia Open Future';
the empowerment of the network of business incubators or the capture of new productive investments.
Gomez recalled that the Info makes available to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs numerous lines and aid programs.
The last of these initiatives, presented at the end of last November, is the Support Plan for Productive and Technological Investments, a new line of aid endowed with a budget of 8.2 million euros that aims to improve competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, which account for 99 percent of the regional business fabric and which constitute one of the foundations of the local economy.
"All these measures make the Region one of the most dynamic autonomous communities in terms of business creation so far this year," said the director of Info. Specifically, between January and October of this year a total of of 2,208 mercantile companies, which means that every day six new companies were opened in the Region, compared to 4.3 of the national average, which places Murcia as the fifth autonomous community in business growth.
