The PSOE of Los Alcázares denounces that the neighbors affected by the floods of December 2016 have not received a year after the municipal aid from donations made to the bank accounts that enabled the City of Los Alcázares.
On December 18, 2016 the water flooded streets, low commercial areas, homes, garages, destroyed infrastructures and ended with memories of a lifetime of numerous residents of Los Alcázares.
In the face of this disaster, numerous organizations, collectives and anonymous respondents based on donations to various bank accounts enabled by the City of Los Alcázares to help the hundreds affected by the waterspout.
Up to a total of 60,000 euros were raised from small income and even from the celebration of major events among which the derby UCAM-Real Murcia, solidarity paella organized by the Parish of Our Lady Asunción de Los Alcázares in which they attended more than 800 people, among others.
But according to denounce the socialists of that town "that money has not yet reached the affected."
Mario Cervera, spokesman of the PSOE has explained that "a year has passed since the floods and these donations do not reach the neighbors who were affected by the water." It has not helped the speed with which they organized the acts and solidarity activities to help "
He continues saying that "we are worried about what will happen with the money left over from the grants approved by the City Council of Los Alcázares, so far only twelve of the hundreds of people affected." We are worried that once the Municipal Budget is closed that money is lost. and it does not reach the rest of the neighbors, and he anticipates that this way "we will denounce the City Council of Los Alcázares for undue appropriation.
