The Community allocates a total of 475,239 euros to the extension of the 'Bienvenido Conejero Requiel' school in Los Alcázares.
This action will provide the center with a new building of Early Childhood Education, which "consist of six classrooms and a room for teachers, distributed around an interior courtyard that will serve as a playground and which will be accessed directly from all classrooms", explained the general director of Educational Centers, Remedios Lajara.
The new building will have a constructed area of 597 square meters and a useful area of 478 square meters.
The work of extension, of a plant, will have an optimal orientation that will allow the correct sunlight of those spaces used by students during school hours.
The orientation of the new building "will enable ventilation and natural lighting, thus enhancing the use of solar energy, with the consequent energy saving and care of the environment," said the general director of Educational Centers.
The Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM) published this week the tender for the contracting of the works, whose bid submission date ends on February 26.
The actions have a term of execution of eight months and are co-financed by 80 percent by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
This construction "will provide the municipality of Los Alcázares with enough spaces to guarantee the schooling of the students and the modular classrooms installed in the educational center will be eliminated, one of the priority objectives, as far as infrastructures are concerned, of the Community ", concluded Remedios Lajara.
