The Department of Culture celebrates World Book Day, next April 23, with a very original initiative to exchange books in public spaces to encourage reading.
The event will take place in the Municipal Library during the morning and in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in the afternoon, where a tent will be installed.
The process will be very simple, participants should give a book, but not a book, but an important book for the person who delivers it;
either because that book has been inspiring in his life or decisive for whatever reason.
The Councilor for Culture, Isabel Sarmiento explained that "perhaps this book that has been important for the person who delivers it, can be important for those who receive it, it is a very nice way to encourage reading," he explained.
The book has to be wrapped in wrapping paper and will have to be accompanied by a dedication where it tells why it is important for the person who delivers it.
The moment you bring your copy, you will be given another, at random, that you have brought before another literary invisible friend.
In this way, all participants have exchanged a book through a kind of invisible friend
