The Socialist Municipal Group of Los Alcazares has filed a motion in the City for municipal officials and employees who so request to charge 50% of the Christmas bonus in January 2013, since the conditions for this to be done , as stated in the Royal Decree of PP which approved the removal of the extra payment to all Spanish officials.
Socialist spokesman, Joaquin Menárguez, explained that "in the Royal Decree of Rajoy's last July noted that when the economy recover growth through pension funds for employees of local government, may recover the amount of remuneration paid suppressed ".
So Menárguez said the situation of the City of Los Alcazares "is not so bad, because it has surplus as PP mayor said to the media."
"Therefore, the council must at least give their workers the chance to decide whether to address the elimination of pay in a less harmful," he added, "since there are families who can make an effort to save a little each month to buy their children Christmas presents, but others occur very fair ends meet and can not. "
