The Patchwork Group Las Claras Municipal Centre Delmar Retail has delivered a check of 600 € to the Spanish Association Against Cancer Alcazares.
The donation has been delivered comes from the collection of Patchwork, British and Spanish women residing in the town group who regularly meet to do manual labor as quilts, rugs or cushions and many other garments.
This group of women makes every Christmas a sweepstakes where they themselves different crafts made in the workshop Patchwork raffle.
This year the funds raised is 600 € and once again help the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) Alcazares.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Culture, Education and Health, Cristina Sanchez, Councillor for Social Policy and Women, Francisco Mendez along with the president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer Alcazares, Teresa González.
During delivery, the Councillor for Culture, Education and Health, Cristina Sánchez stressed "that these ladies work done selflessly for the fight against cancer which unfortunately many people suffer today and we should all help in some way."
