As has been denouncing the Socialist Party, the disastrous management of the government team headed by its mayor, Anastasio Bastida, has led to the town of Los Alcazares to an unknown situation so far.
The City of Los Alcazares has enjoyed for almost 30 years of good economic health that has allowed him to become a municipality of reference for tourism and services refers reached with the People's Party and in just three years, a situation to now unthinkable.
Since the year 2012 closed with a deficit of over five million and a difficult debt situation is local but with the end of year 2013 when really the future of this council gets ugly.
Again there slash budget deficit of 4.5 million, and a debt that exceeds 10 million representing over 50 percent of the municipal budget.
To understand the gravity of the situation in which the People's Party and its mayor, Anastasio Bastida have placed the town of Los Alcazares, simply refer to the economic-financial plan that the General Law of Budgetary Stability forced to do at its own town council and Councillor for Finance, José Francisco López Gabaldon, and which must include at least the following steps:
a) Removal of the powers exercised by the Local Authority who are other than its own and exercised by delegation, so that could be eliminated as Civil Protection services, social services or education.
b) integrated or coordinated mandated services provided by the Local Authority to reduce management costs.
c) Increase of revenue to fund mandated services provided by the Local Authority, ie, higher taxes and municipal rates.
d) organizational streamlining, which could mean the elimination of jobs held by workforce.
e) Deletion of entities below the town territory.
f) A proposed merger with a neighboring municipality in the same province.
In the words of Joaquín Menárguez, Secretary General of the PSOE alcazareño "an unsustainable economic situation, which rolls back to Los Alcazares over 30 years and has led the PP in less than three years of government."
