The Director General of Youth and Sports, Antonio Penalver, accompanied by the mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida, and Puerto Lumbreras, Maria Angeles Tunisia, and the chairman of Cycling adapted from the Spanish Cycling Federation, José Grin, I presented today of Spain Copa Adapted Cycling, which opens in the next Region 3 and May 4.
This first Cup Spain Adapted Cycling is a new competition aimed at riders with disabilities, launched this year by the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation and has a total of four tests.
Antonio Penalver explained that the first two next weekend will be held in the region on Saturday, May 3 in Los Alcazares and Sunday May 4 in Puerto Lumbreras.
These locations "that have been promoting for many years this sport," according Penalver said.
"The choice of both sites by the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation has been possible thanks to the invaluable support of the municipalities of Los Alcazares, Puerto Lumbreras, along with the regional administration," said the director.
The first test will be Adapted Cycling Challenge III for Handbike Tricycles and organized by the Grupo Deportivo Los Alcazares and encompass both specialties.
The second test will be the V International Adapted Cycling Challenge City of Puerto Lumbreras, also for the two specialties, and in the organization of Ginés García Peña Ciclista.
The total number of entries for the two tests came yesterday to thirty participants and is expected to increase in the coming days.
