The Spanish Federation of Sports for people with intellectual disabilities (FEddi), the Federation of Sports for people with intellectual disabilities in the Region of Murcia (FEDEMIPS) and the City of Los Alcazares, held this year in the Championship of Spain municipality selections autonomous for people with intellectual disabilities.
Over ten regions will participate in the Championships regional selections of people with intellectual disabilities, to be held from 4 to 8 June in Los Alcazares and San Javier.
About 400 athletes from Navarra, Valencia, Madrid, Aragon, Cantabria, Extremadura, Castilla la Mancha, Castilla y León, La Rioja and Murcia participate in the Championship of Spain 2014.
Among the disciplines that athletes practice athletics, football, handball and basketball in the sports facilities of Los Alcazares and San Javier are.
In Los Alcazares in Hall October 13 tests played futsal in Hall of CAR (Center for High Performance Infanta Cristina) tests basketball, pool Punta Calera all swimming and as for as evidence Athletics will be played on tracks San Javier.
The mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida has highlighted the effort and overcoming these athletes, thanks to the tenacity are true examples for our society.
Finally, Bastida invited to witness all tests to be played at facilities in Los Alcazares from 4 to 8 June, and also thanked the support of the regional government from the Directorate General of Youth and Sports.
The Director General of Youth and Sports, Antonio Penalver stressed that "the quality of our sports facilities makes us one of the most attractive to accommodate all types of tournaments offices" thanked FEddi its work in the field of adapted sports, both the regional and national level, and congratulated the City of Los Alcazares on the work of coordinating the event.
