Around 3000 people cook pot on the shores of the Mar Menor on 12 October.
As is known, the town celebrates the "Day of Cauldron," an event that has great popularity and number of people.
At over three hundred rocks extending along the beaches and make their 'pots', a typical dish of the Mar Menor, and thousands of curious visitors who flock to the beach at Los Alcazares to enjoy sun, its atmosphere and bind its gastronomy.
The "Day of the Cauldron" is integrated in the October celebrations of the municipality, which commemorate the Municipal Autonomy, achieved on 13 October 1983, when Los Alcazares was segregated from the municipalities of San Javier and Torre Pacheco.
