Councilman Sports City of Los Alcazares, Francis Montesinos, General Director of Youth and Sports, Antonio Peñalver and director of the Sports UCAM, Paul Rosique, presented this morning the Championships of Spain University of Taekwondo, Badminton and Karate held at the High Performance Centre in Los Alcazares from April 25 to May 9.
The town will welcome athletes from more than 80 universities, to dispute the championships in Spain of different sports, the taekwondo will take place on 24 and 25 April, the Badminton will be held from 26 to 28 this month and finally the karate is 8 and May 9.
Sports Councilman thanked both the Autonomous Community and the UCAM, the fact of choosing criteria for holding such events elite.
Rosique explained that "is the second year that is held here and this time we have the leading figures in these sports as Joel, Bea Pablo Abellán Corrales or part of the University, although athletes come over eighty universities" he said
Finally, Peñalver stressed that be "one appointment with Olympic medalists" while stressed the privilege it is to welcome in the town and in the region nearly eighty thousand athletes from universities across the country.
