Residents and visitors of Los Alcázares may recall that on Saturday December 12, 1915, date on which the first flight of a military seaplane in Spain which took place in the city was conducted.
It's been 100 years since Colonel Pedro Vives Vich, opts for this municipality to establish the first seaplane base, "the most appropriate place is Los Alcázares; everything in it, are splendid positive note" he said then.
After a century, the town celebrates this anniversary throughout 2015, but without a doubt, one of the most important will take place this weekend, in which eleven arrival seaplanes fly from Pollença (Mallorca) is planned to Los Alcázares.
Seaplanes from Switzerland, Italy, Finland, the Netherlands and Spain amerizarán in Playa de las Palmeras (opposite the High Performance Center).
