In the year of the centenary of the Spanish seaplane in Los Alcázares, the course of the International University of Mar-Campus Mare Nostrum "Air and Sea: Los Alcázares and the centenary of the Spanish seaplane" is held, which will be held in the Town Hall of the town between 13 and 17 July.
The Los Alcázares was the first sea aerodrome Spain, where he took the first flight of a military seaplane.

The course will present various conferences designed to disseminate knowledge of the history of the Murcia town and approach to scientific knowledge of the aircraft and its protagonists, studying their specific use on the seas, and to study the political, social and economic impact and It is the presence of military aircraft in the town of Los Alcazares and disseminate the role of seaplanes in today's Spain and its evolution through integration into the Emergency Military Unit.
