The mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida, and President Abraham Project, Nuria García Clavijos this morning signed a collaboration agreement for two years, between the city council and the Abraham Project Association for the implementation of separate collection systems for textile, footwear and toys in different municipalities.
The association will manage the collection of this waste with 18 containers located in different streets and avenues of the city.
The association estimates that the municipality an average of 30,000 kilos of waste textiles, footwear and toys were collected.
The efforts undertaken since the Abraham Project Association with these residues are aimed mostly at increasing the life of the same, either through reuse, recovery as by-products or by-products for other industries.
In this line include educational, social, occupational and environmental actions.
While also they are carrying out humanitarian activities by donating these wastes to people in need, mainly stemming from the Social Services of the Autonomous Region of Murcia and the City Council.
All activities are covered by the Convention are carried out free of charge by the Association of Abraham Project, with no consideration for them by the City of Los Alcázares.
