Coinciding with the festival of La Candelaria, the Association of Widows "Torre del Rame" celebrated their day, which traditionally several events are held throughout the day.
The morning started with a Mass dedicated to widows which was officiated by D. Manuel Peñalver, pastor of the village.
The event, attended by the mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida, Councillor for Social Policy, Isabel Sarmiento and the Councillor for Tourism, Maite Olmos and almost forty women members of this association, including the new local president, Purification García León .
After the Mass ended, the Association showed his caring side giving a basket with handmade clothing for themselves, parents of a newborn who do not have sufficient resources.
The day of living and celebration ended with a fellowship meal.
