The director general of Department, María José Jiménez, opened today in Los Alcazares, accompanied by the mayor, Encarna Gil, the extension of 11 classrooms in the IES Antonio Menéndez Coast this county, which involves the creation of 330 new jobs.
The investment has come at a cost of 706,665 euros, financed entirely by the Ministry of Education.
The expansion is a construction of new plant, equipped with three floors, which stands as a separate building and connection to the current building was established by extending the existing porch, continuing with a new creation.
The new surface is constructed of 1429.22 m2, of which 617.20 m2 correspond to the first floor, where they are located, in addition, porches and entrances, the first floor has an area of 406.01 m2 and the rest 406.01 m2, are those corresponding to the second floor.
The criteria followed to this new building have been taken into account that matches the existing buildings and their surroundings, giving the building lighting and ventilation to use, and taking into account the conditions of accessibility.
All the classrooms and halls are equipped with all basic services as electricity and lighting, as well as telecommunications.
Also, the entire building meets the requirements of habitability, sanitation, energy saving and functionality required for this use, and access the building and common areas thereof, are accessible to persons with disabilities.
